Chabala & Weyant (transformed by Mittimus) - SETI Transmissions (2007)
"SETI Transmissions" is an improvised conceptual piece which depicts an earthbound listener intercepting extraterrestrial radio transmissions. It was created as part of a mash-up collaboration between Barry Chabala, Mittimus, and Glenn Weyant. Each musician submitted music to the other two- Glenn Weyant submitted piano and sax, Barry Chabala submitted a solo guitar piece, and Mittimus submitted a live duo performance of guitar and bass. The musicians were to do whatever the hell they wanted with the tracks at their disposal, and SETI Transmissions is Mittimus' contribution, comprised of Glenn and Barry's submissions..... Glenn and Barry's music was processed in real time by Mittimus using I-pods, radio, electronics, amplifiers, and an FM radio transmitter.
